Therefore, when selecting the flow characteristics of the control valve, it should not only be based on the process characteristics, but also consider the piping situation of the system.
An environmental protection company in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, purchased a batch of control valves in 2014. According to the feedback of the on-site personnel, our control valves could not play a regulating role. The company sent technicians to the site to check the reasons. Later, it was known through communication with the on-site technicians that the purchasing personnel only provided the caliber but did not provide relevant data when purchasing, which led to the selection of too large a diameter that could not play a regulating role, This kind of problem can only be returned to the factory for bore reduction, which not only delays the user's working conditions but also increases the use cost. Therefore, when purchasing control valves, it is important not to provide only the caliber because you are not clear about the parameters, but also to ask the site user about some use requirements (such as flow range, pressure in front of the valve, pressure behind the valve, circulating media, etc.) to avoid unnecessary losses.
