The blowdown ball valve is not only simple in structure and good in sealing performance, but also small in size, light in weight, less in material consumption, small in installation size, small in driving torque, convenient in operation and easy to realize quick opening and closing. It is one of the fast growing varieties in the past decade.
1. For the main oil and gas transmission pipeline, if the pipeline needs to be cleaned and buried, the ball valve with full bore and full welding structure shall be selected; If it is buried on the ground, select the ball valve with full diameter welding connection or flange connection; Branch pipe, flange connection, welding connection, full bore or reduced bore ball valve shall be selected.
2. Flanged ball valves shall be used for product oil pipelines and storage equipment.
3. Floating ball valves with flange connection and internal thread connection shall be selected for urban gas and natural gas pipelines.
4. The oxygen pipeline system in the metallurgical system shall be strictly shut off.
5. Low temperature ball valve with valve cover should be selected for low temperature medium pipeline system and device.
6. The lifting rod ball valve can be selected for the pipeline system of the catalytic cracking unit of the oil refining unit.
7. Austenitic stainless steel and polytetrafluoroethylene should be selected as all stainless steel ball valves for acid and alkali corrosion media devices and piping systems of the chemical system.
8. Metal to metal sealed ball valves can be selected for high-temperature medium pipeline systems or devices in metallurgy, electric power, petrochemical plants and urban heating systems.
9. When it is necessary to adjust the flow, the V-shaped open ball valve with worm gear drive, pneumatic or electric adjustment can be selected.
Working principle of blowdown ball valve:
When rotating for 90 degrees, the inlet and outlet shall all be spherical, so as to close the valve and cut off the flow of medium. When the rotation is 90 degrees, the inlet and outlet should be all ball ports, so as to open the flow, and there is basically no flow resistance. The opening and closing part of the blowdown ball valve is a sphere with a circular channel, which rotates around the axis perpendicular to the channel. As the valve stem rotates, the passage opens and closes. It can be closed tightly only when it is rotated by 90 degrees and the torque is small. According to the working conditions, different driving devices can be assembled to form a variety of ball valves with different control modes, such as electric, pneumatic, etc.
